The Greenwich 2000 Search Engine allows queries to be formed from expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses.
Examples are:
- millennium dome: finds documents containing 'millennium' or 'dome'
- millennium or dome: finds documents containing 'millennium' or 'dome' (as above)
- millennium and dome: finds documents containing both 'millennium' and 'dome'
- millennium not dome: finds documents containing 'millennium' but not 'dome'
- (millennium not dome) and WAIS: finds documents containing 'WAIS', plus 'millennium' but not 'dome'
- web*: finds documents containing words starting with 'web'
