  • Excellent value for money
  • Available after 09:30 weekdays and all-day at weekends
  • Enables travel on trains, tube, buses (except night or tourist buses)
  • Works on a Zone system (Central London is in Zone 1)
  • Always get a ticket BEFORE you travel.  Spot checks are carried out with fines imposed
  • Cover Zones 1 to 2 or 1 to 4 (There are no Zone 1 to 3 tickets)
  • Most stations have automatic ticket machines

Travel Tip: Avoid queuing at the stations many local newsagents and post offices sell Travel Cards

Travel Tip: Although Greenwich Station is in Zone 2 we recommend a card covering zones 1 to 4 since stations such as Maze Hill for the Maritime Museum is in Zone 3 (the cost of a 4 zone ticket is only a little more expensive than a 2 zone card)

The London Marathon starts in Greenwich Park every Spring.

Greenwich has a long heritage; it was the birth place of King Henry VIII and his daughters Queen Mary (Bloody Mary) and Queen Elizabeth I (The Virgin Queen).  All the English monarchs can be found at Royal History.

It has seen many famous visitors from Peter the Great through Charles Dickens to Bob Hope.  This and a lot more in Greenwich Past.
